The Cometti Group has a mission to provide sustainable solutions to tyre waste and minimise current practices of end of life tyre burial or stockpiling.
Our team utilises the combined industry experience in tyre sales, service and mining to develop a world class recycling plant in Neerabup. Our efforts result in lasting positive influence on our environment, our industry and our community, transforming waste into value.
With the support of a joint federal and state government grant, CTS Tyre Recycling and Throughcycle Rubber has committed to a major additional capability at its new state of the art facility being built at Neerabup, north of Perth.
The Neerabup project, valued at more than $40-million, delivers a recycling plant to process waste tyres into crumb rubber, tyre-derived products, reusable high tensile steel wire and reusable textile.
And the company has installed a remanufacturing line at the new facility.
About Us
Why Recycle Tyres?
End-of-life tyres often end up in stockpiles, illegal dumps, or are buried, causing significant environmental contamination and hazardous conditions.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Tyre stockpiles pose significant risks, including fires that release toxic emissions, contaminating air, soil, and water. In warm climates, discarded tyres collect rainwater, breeding mosquitoes and spreading disease.
REGULATION
Governments are promoting recycling through laws like the Recycling and Waste Reduction Act 2020, encouraging companies to take responsibility for their waste and comply with stricter disposal regulations.
SOCIAL LICENCE
Public awareness of environmental and social harms from industrial pollution is growing. Sustainable disposal methods, respecting cultural and indigenous perspectives, are becoming imperative.
COST-EFFECTIVE
Onsite tyre disposal is costly when considering labour, transport, and compliance. Recycling and repurposing tyres reduce these costs and support new industries.

Beyond Tyres, We Recycle All Types of Rubber
At CTS TYRE RECYCLING, we’re not just about tyres, we specialise in recycling all forms of rubber, such as conveyor belts, wetsuits, mill liners, marine fenders, rubber piping, and much more.
Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped to transform any rubber product into valuable, reusable materials, supporting a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
Whether it’s industrial, automotive, or any other kind of rubber waste, we’re committed to reducing the environmental impact and giving new life to what was once considered waste.
Our Technology
ELDAN RECYCLING EQUIPMENT
When it comes to industrial recycling equipment, there is one name that stands out, Eldan Recycling. Since 1956 Eldan has been producing world leading recycling technology in Demark and delivering it to the world with thousands of plants installed globally. Their impressive track record is why we have commissioned Eldan to supply the shredding machinery to our Neerabup plant.
SALVADORI RECYCLING
To ensure our capabilities, we also have a Salvadori Pre Shredder that is capable of breaking down OTR tyres up to 63 inch. The icing on the cake is the whole operation is expandable so CTS Tyre Recycling is the ultimate tyre solution.
